The compass arrow guided our brewers to as many as four continents. Therefore the eighth beer in the "Compass" series – black and thick as tar a noble imperial stout-style ale aged for up to 24 months in oak barrels that had previously been used to age rums from Mauritius in Africa, Belize in North America and Guyana in South America. A masterfully balanced orchestra of aromas and flavours, the special mood is shaped by delicate oak, vanilla, fruit and nut themes and subtle notes of coffee, chocolate and dried fruits.
